We present Father Severino Giner’s work, Saint Joseph Calasanz, translated into English for the first time. Despite its brevity and conciseness, it attempts to be a new, updated biography of the Spanish pedagogue saint. His story remains gripping, almost novel-like, in which, despite the genius of proclaiming the rights of poor children to education and culture, contradictions arise where one might least expect them.
